Adios Atlanta

As I was put-putting around Atlanta last weekend, the reality finally set in. In a month, I will no longer be living in Atlanta. Atlanta and I have had our moments… good and bad, but it’s the place I always thought I would call home. I did, I will. Even though I’m leaving, I know that Atlanta always will hold a special place in my heart as the first place I ever really felt at home. Sure I spent the first 21 years of my life in Virginia and I will never claim otherwise, but I was never at rest there. I was always yearning for something more. After the initial shock of being in a new city all alone, I found a peace, a comfort. I let my hair and my guard down with a sort of mixed result. Nevertheless, I leave knowing that I have truly grown here, as a business person, human being and a woman. I have met incredible people, in particular my business partners Sasha & James with whom I share this beautiful vision. I think I’ll be back, but for now I’m ready to embark on this new adventure that is “Kandi in Miami”

Octane

This place has become one of my FAVORITE Sunday Afternoon hangout spots... easily replacing "Club Starbucks" (7th & Peachtree). The toffee doughnut I had the last time I was there was DIVINE!!! The Vanilla Chai Tea was good as well.

The energy in Octane is incredible... you just feel like you're surrounded by creativity. It's a combination of artists and students... MY favorite mix. Always interesting people... I recruited 2 girls recently... hopefully I will be able to share them with you soon :)
